Bee School

Our incursions are:

To help kids learn we bring with us:

• Demonstration hive
• Beekeepers uniform, including some items for the kids to try on
• Selection of beekeeping tools
• Fun games to play
• Honey and popsicle sticks for a honey tasting
• Age appropriate activity materials

We provide tailored learning experience for:

• Prep to Year 2
• Years 3 & 4
• Years 5 & 6

Maximum 30 kids per session so everyone gets to see, touch, taste and ask questions

45 minute sessions

Up to a maximum of 4 sessions per day, per school.

You and your students will:

• Receive an age appropriate pre-incursion activity to introduce students to bees
• Be introduced to bees, beekeeping and the equipment involved
• Learn about some of the native bees in Australia and the different honey bees in a hive
• Discuss what honey bees need to survive and thrive
• Learn about the bee lifecycle and how bees communicate
• An age appropriate activity and/or factsheet that schools can print for students to take home to the family
• Taste some honey

Prices

1 x 45 minute session = $220 + GST

2 x 45 minute sessions = $420 + GST

3 x 45 minute sessions = $620 + GST

4 x 45 minutes sessions = $820 + GST

Teachers are asked to remain in the sessions.

Travel costs do apply and will be calculated with your booking.
